Not far from the village of Areni the archaeologists discovered a cave in which the oldest wine production was located. Today, the region produces delicious home-made fruit and berry products, which are especially popular among tourists.
The annual wine festival attracts tourists from all over the world. During the holiday, you can not only taste traditional Armenian alcoholic drinks, but also try local cheeses and snacks, ride horses and participate in a toast contest.
